Swiss Engineering Day takes place at IMD

The event focused on industry 4.0 and digitization

IMD recently hosted Swiss Engineering Day aimed at bridging the gap between the engineering sector and the wider economy.

The event, organized by the association Swiss Engineering, featured presentations by experts in the areas of technology, mobility, sport, the automobile industry, recruitment and social media.

IMD Professor of Digital Marketing Amit Joshi gave a presentation on the “Digitalization of our economy”. IMD Professor of Strategy, Cyril Bouquet welcomed participants to the event along with Gregor Hubbuch and Yvette Ramos of Swiss Engineering.

Other speakers included Professor Michel Bierlaire, of EPFL; mobility expert Arnd Bätzner; Thomas Mayer, former Director-General of the Formula 1 Lotus racing team; and Nicole Burth, Director-General of Adecco Switzerland.

The event included lively discussion, a roundtable and networking.

Swiss Engineering is an association of engineers and architects that works to promote the interests of its members and support their professional development.
