The case describes the integration of NCS, a US educational software company, into Pearson, a leading international media company. Pearson acquired NCS, a leader in assessment, testing, tools and services for K-12 (kindergarten to 12th grade) schools in the US, to help marry its rich content portfolio with applications and services to match. The case describes the early wins after the acquisition, as well as some of the integration challenges facing the two companies in late 2001.
