The case (B) is the continuation of the case (A), GM 841. Samsung Electronics started implementing its business plan in 1983. This case is written from Samsung’s point of view and illustrates how Samsung Electronics delivered the first DRAM chips to the market, after successfully acquiring DRAM technology and building the first manufacturing plant less than a year. The emphasis is on the ways Samsung so rapidly climbed the learning curve to become the world leader.
