11 pages
April 1996
Reference: IMD-3-0618

The case describes the growth of a building industry company from 1953 to today. During this period the company followed several structural changes and became increasingly decentralized. Today Braas is structured as a holding and the top executives are still considering if the decentralization should go further. The case can be used to teach typical growth patterns in rising markets.
