The case describes the transformation of a country business unit in a large financial service company from a traditional organization beset by poor morale and leadership challenges to a global innovation leader – within a culture and an industry which traditionally does not foster innovation. The case describes in detail the key innovation initiatives taken by new management team as the company embarked on recovery from a major crisis and review the steps taken to build a sustainable culture of innovation at all levels of the organization through rapid and radical change.
