IMD reaccredited by world’s largest business school association AACSB

AACSB review praises IMD as ‘best practice’ business school
July 2019

IMD Business School has been reaccredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business for the maximum possible 5-year term, confirming its status in an elite worldwide group.

IMD is the only business school in Switzerland and one of less than a hundred worldwide to hold the coveted “triple crown” of accreditations from AACSB, EFMD EQUIS and AMBA.

These accreditations reflect our commitment to real learning with real impact, developing leaders and transforming organizations,” said IMD President Jean-François Manzoni. “It is especially gratifying to receive this recognition based on the expertise of respected peers.”

The full AACSB renewal follows a two-day site visit and peer review in March by deans from three leading international business schools to assess IMD against AACSB’s rigorous quality assurance standards. The reaccreditation was approved by a vote of the association’s Board of Directors on June 25.

After their visit, the peer reviewers praised IMD across a range of criteria:

  • IMD’s engagement with business sets a global “best practice” standard
  • The school has a caring, high-performance culture. Faculty and staff are committed to meaningful learning impacts
  • Satisfaction is high among MBA and EMBA participants
  • Participant learning is closely assessed in relation to clear objectives
  • The institution is globally recognized as a leading school and attracts a world-class and internationally diverse faculty

IMD is focused on delivering innovative, impact-driven learning and research. This reaccreditation signals that we continue to set the gold standard for global best practice,” said Anne-France Borgeaud Pierazzi, Institutional Research and Accreditations Partner.
