Robert Hooijberg, Professor of Organizational Behaviour at IMD; Francis Pfluger, Head of Learning Management & Executive Coach at IMD; and Nancy Lane, Research Associate and Executive Coach at IMD, have received a Gold award at the 2021 Brandon Hall Group awards for their work on the leadership of Swiss wealth management firm, Julius Baer.
The coveted award for excellence was bestowed to the trio for their entry ‘Winning the Future: Building Julius Baer’s Leadership Capabilities’ in the Best Advance in Leadership Development category.
IMD and Julius Baer collaborated on a six-month journey that combined off-line and F2F learning. It provided participants with the opportunity to explore their leadership in the context of both the wealth management industry in general and Julius Baer in particular. The program carefully balanced content input with coach-supported reflection opportunities.
“The bank and the participants inspired me,” said Professor Hooijberg. “The bank inspired me by being fully involved in the co-creation of the program and always having great senior executives available to contribute. The participants inspired me with their great learning attitude. These two factors were key to the success of the program.”
The 2021 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards were given for work in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Sales Performance, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Future of Work.
Entries were subject to a rigorous judging process by an international panel of independent industry experts, Brandon Hall Group senior analysts and its executive team. The judging was based on programs’ ability to: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation and overall measurable benefits.
Excellence Award winners are scheduled to be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference in February 2020, taking place at the Hilton West Palm Beach in Florida. Select winners also will serve as presenters in breakout sessions, sharing their leading practices during the conference.
