ICRC continues strategic reflections at IMD

The International Committee of the Red Cross and partners continue GPHI2
December 2017

On Dec 14, The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) hosted the third edition of its Global Partnerships for Humanitarian Impact and Innovation (GPHI2) at IMD. GPHI2 is an initiative by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that aims to promote the development of innovative solutions to humanitarian challenges by harnessing the creative capacity of the private and the humanitarian sectors to respond to the needs of conflict victims.

The recent one-day gathering of GPHI2, led by the ICRC, was held at IMD and was chaired by ICRC Director General Yves Daccord with IMD Professor Michael Yaziji.

This year’s event focused on gathering input and prototyping ideas to map the way ahead for the ICRC’s long-term as well as short term, emergency-focused strategies. This conversation took place as part of the ICRC’s next institutional strategy consultation process.

“IMD has been amazing and we appreciate Michael’s thought-provoking input,” said Mr. Daccord at the event.
